isn't it funny how the worst mornings can end up being some of the greatest days?

i had to go to my first ever (and will be my only) court appearance today.

i had a speeding ticket for 5 over (yes 5 over).

i got the ticket a few days before i got married -

needless to say things got pretty hectic and i never paid for it. (until 7 months later).

as i paid my 300 dollar ticket (ouch that hurts)! i kept thinking about how much things have changed since i have gotten married.

before i was married i was totally financially set. (due to my very gracious parents who always watched out for me, until i got married haha ;)

marriage has been so humbling in so many ways.

i have learned that having 2 pairs of jeans is okay, 

because money is so much better spent on a mini-golfing date.

i have learned that life is so much more fulfilling 

when it is spent living for another person.

i have learned that my muffin-top is worth it, 

because oh how i enjoy those midnight ice cream runs with my husband.

i have discovered the incredible beauty in the plan of salvation,

because forever wouldn't be forever without jess.

i have learned that the maternal instinct women are given is a wonderful gift,

oh how i can't wait to create a family one day.

i have only started to learn the struggles of finances,

i have only had a glimpse of how difficult meshing two lives and two backgrounds into one can be.

i have learned every single quirk jess has.

i have learned to love his quirks and all unconditionally.

i have learned that the lord knows jess and i,

he knows the ins-and-outs of our marriage,

he knows of our struggles and our dreams,

and he listens.

i have learned so much.

i will continue learning.

i am so grateful.

i am so blessed.
